This study aims to evaluate prognostic importance of Estrogen receptors (ER) and Progesterone receptors (PR) and to assess the effects of hormonal receptor targeted therapy in patients of breast cancer . A total of 30 patients were included in study with clinico–pathological diagnosis of breast cancer. The data of all 30 patients according to their ER/PR status were divided according to the percentage of different combinations. The correlation of hormonal receptors with several factors like tumor size, histology, stage, grade, nodal status, menstrual status etc. were determined. ER and PR positivity found in 53.3% and 40% of cases. It was found that patient age has no statistical significant correlation with ER and PR. Tumour size ,grade and number of positive lymph nodes has an inverse correlation with ER and PR positivity. ER and PR positivity has a statistically significant correlation with Nottingham Prognostic index, therefore ER PR status act as a reliable prognostic factor
