Abstract :
Sarcomatoid mesothelioma is the least common but the most aggressive of the three major histological types of the mesotheliomas. Most tumors were pleural. Asbestos fieswere significantly higher in the sarcomatoid cases. Patients with this malignancy generally do not have a complete response. Malignant mesotheliomas pose both the diagnostic and a treatment challenge. The extremely long latency from a time of initial asbestos exposure to tumor development and the lack of effective modes of therapy are barriers to eradicating the disease.
