NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF CAREER GUIDANCE DURING ADOLESCENCE

Abstract :

Adolescence is an important period in the life span because of their immediate effects on attitude and behavior. The attitudes of older adolescents towards education aregreatly influenced by their vocational interests. Most adolescents change their minds often about their future occupations. Hence academic education alone won’t ing the success in their professional life, more over they need social skills such as self esteem, communication and the ability to make decisions. The present paper attempts to know the importance of career guidance during adolescence. This definitely help adolescents to acquired and develop skills and tools that will help them, be successful in their lives. Through a series of exercise and guidance, adolescents explore their own qualities to reinforce a positive image of themselves and be more confident in achieving their goals.
