Abstract :
A prospective study was conducted over a period of one year, from January 2016 to January 2017, on 115 patients who were referred to the department of Radio Diagnosis for contrast enhanced MDCT imaging with clinical suspicion and/or in those diagnosed to have bowel wall thickening on ultrasound. The study results were correlated with histopathology wherever available, follow up scans and clinical response to treatment in cases with infective and inflammatory pathology. Our study concluded that the pattern of bowel wall thickening and perienteric changes has significant role innarrowing the differential diagnosis with good CT sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing neoplastic bowel thickening.
