The Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) was used to assess the anxiety levels in the participants. Exercise protocol consisted of Jacobson‘s progressive relaxation technique followed by deep eathing exercises.Post training of progressive muscle relaxation technique the anxiety score was significantly lowered. The present study recommends the progressive muscle relaxation technique for reducing anxiety symptoms in geriatrics.
