Abstract :

Pollution of water bodies is one of the areas of major concern to environmentalists. Water quality is an index of health and well being of a society. Industrialization, urbanization and modern agriculture practices have direct impact on the water resources. A systematic study has been carried out to assess the physicochemical characteristics of water samples of boar wells from MIDC area Aurangabad. The parameters were analysed such as Temperature, pH, Electrical Conductivity, Alkalinity, Nitrate, DO, BOD & COD. This research work shows that the water quality of the boar wells from MIDC area is deteoriated possibly due to improper release of industrial effluents.
