Abstract :

Introduction: An explicit knowledge of minute variations in the septal anches of coronary arteries is necessary for acute coronary interventions. Objective: is to correlate the number of septal anches to the length of coronary artery and its dominance. Methodology: 50 coronary arteries were injected with cast material and the variations were studied. Result: The number of septal anches was maximum in case of Co-dominant type. The number of septal anches is directly proportional to length of the coronary artery and coronary dominance. Conclusion: This creates an insight about the septal anches of coronary artery and coronary dominance which helps the interventional cardiologists during coronary interventions.
