A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN PROPESS AND CERVIPRIME GEL FOR INDUCTION OF LABOUR
Dr. Divya Sinha, Dr. Sunita Lamba, Dr. Pallavi Prasad Yadav
Abstract :
Induction of labour implies stimulation of contraction before the spontaneous onset of labour with or without ruptured memanes. Although different methods have been used for induction, prostaglandins remains the preferred drug. Dinoprostone (PGE2) is the most commonly used prostaglandins. This study showed that using propess results in a significantly shorter induction to delivery time as compared to cerviprime gel without any significant difference with respect to adverse effect profile and the mode of delivery.
