Wound healing activity of Cestrum elegans

Abstract :

The air–dried leaves of Cestrum elegans (Brongn.) Schltdl of Solanaceae have been found to contain luteolin and its glycoside luteolin–7–O–rutinoside. The structures of the above compounds have been ascertained by UV, chemical reactions, PC and hydrolytic studies. The glycoside isolated from the leaves has ample healing property. It was also tested for its memane stabilizing capacity
