Abstract :
The ternary quadratic Diophantine equation represented by 2 2 2 (2 2)( ) (4 1) 8( 1) k x y k xy k z + +−− =+ is analyzed for its patterns of non – zero distinct integral solutions. A few interesting relations between the solutions and special polygonal numbers are exhibited.
