Dr. Sudharani Grandhe, Dr. V. Nagamani
Abstract :
Multiple pregnancy is one of the high risk pregnancies associated with considerable morbidity & mortality to both the mother (anaemia, toxaemia, APH, PPH) and fetus (due to prematurity, fetal distress, cord prolapse & twin to twin transfusion syndrome). To the mother gestational age, chorionicity, fetal presentation,& fetal weight play a role in deciding the mode of delivery & second twin is at higher risk than the first twin.
