Dr Manas Ranjan Rout, Dr Ch P Das, Dr G Venkateswar Rao
Abstract :
Laryngeal large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma otherwise known as Laryngeal atypical carcinoids (AC/moderately–differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma) are rare tumors associated with moderately aggressive clinical behavior. However, a subset of tumors classified as AC have much greater aggressive potential. A 65 year male patient came to our OPD with complaints of foreign body sensation of right side of the throat and radiating pain to right ear. On excisional biopsy with histopathological study and immunohistocemistry he was diagnosed to be large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. We are presentig this case because of its rarity.
