Abstract :
The present study was designed to investigate the toxic effects of Sodium arsenate at its clinical concentration. Experimental rats were administered wit Sodium arsenate 4 mg/kg body weight for a period of 30 days. The blood glucose, tissue glycogen were estimated besides histopathological studies of pancreas. Sodium arsenate treated rats showed elevated blood glucose levels and decline in tissue glycogen. Pancreatic tissue damage in experimental rats might be the possible reason for the biochemical changes in the present investigation
