Fibroadenoma Breast Comparison between enucleation and excision beyond capsule – A prospective study

Abstract :
Background– Fioadenomas in female easts which are not responding to medical treatment needs surgical interventions1. Some surgeons prefer enucleation of fioadenoma while others prefer excisionwith capsule of fioadenoma. Both the options are established modality of treatment but excisionwith capsule needs more tissue removal around the capsule and large incisions.
Material and Method – In this study, we study the relative efficacy, complications and morbidity of both modalities of treatment. Enucleation of fioadenoma and excision offioadenoma on 50 patients Student t–test was used to access the quantitative and chi–square test for qualitative differences. The p value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
Result – Enucleation offioadenoma east is found to be a better option compared to excision of fioadenoma east as enucleation is possible with small incision. This leads to less chances of haematoma, early wound healing, less pain and early recovery with less hospital stay and no need to put any drain in the east.
Conclusion – Enucleation of Breast fioadenoma is a safe, valuable and better modality of surgical treatment as it gives less morbidity and better cosmetic results.
