The study has found astounding results in the effective treatement of Asthma with reference to the preclinical studies done in Guinea Pigs. The results obtained in the present investigation that Mentha longifolia Leaves possess significant Anti–Asthmatic activity. At 150 & 300 mg/kg the anti–asthmatic activity of Mentha longifolia Leaves can be attributed to its onchodilating, antihistaminic (H1–antagonist) and anti–inflammatory property, suggestive of its potential in treatment and prophylaxis of asthma. Clinical efficacy also decreased the eosinophilic levels in the treatment in asthmatic patients.
