Abstract :

Infective endocarditis is frequently found in Indian population and may rarely be the cause of intracranial hemorrhage. In such instances further diagnostic imaging to search for an underlying structural lesion is prudent. Well known causes of this hemorrhage include cardioembolism with hemorrhagic transformation, septic emboli and mycotic aneurysm. Here we report a case of 19 years old pregnant lady with 24 weeks of gestation who presented with fever ,loss of speech and hemiparesis .After extensive workup for young stroke infective endocarditis was dectected in echocardiography and ain imaging study was consistent with intraparenchymal haemorrhage
