A study of Anxiety & Depression among Learning Disabled Children

Abstract :

In order to understand the level of anxiety and depression among Learning Disabled (LD) children a comparative study between able/ normal children and LD children was conducted at Ahmedabad. 60 Children between age group of 12–15 years were selected. Their anxiety level was judged through Hamilton Anxiety Test and depression level was judged through Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ–9). Z test was used to judge the level of significance at 5 % level. Significant difference was found between anxiety level as well as depression level of able children and LD children. Level of anxiety and depression was significantly higher in LD children.
