Abstract :

Financial statement analysis is the method of reviewing and analysis a company’s accounting report in order to analyse its past, present or projected future performance. This allows for better financial and strategic decision making. The project work is done on “A comparative study on the financial performance of JK Cement Limited and Ultra Tech Cement Limited”. The period of the study was carried on for five years from 2013–14 to 2017–18. The research design of the study is descriptive research and secondary data was collected for the purpose of the study. The cash flow statement shows the changes in cash balance for particular period of time which includes operating activity, investing activity and financing activity. A common size financial statement displays all items as percentage of common base figure. The suggestions of the study help management to improve the financial performance and the stakeholders to understand the financial performance
