THE HEARTBLEED BUG: A RECENT VULNERABILITY IN OPENSSL

Abstract :
<p>&nbsp;The Heartbleed Bug is a serious vulnerability in a popular OpenSSL cryptographic software liary. This weakness&nbsp;</p> <div>allows stealing the protected information, by the SSL/TLS encryption used to secure the internet. SSL/TLS provides&nbsp;</div> <div>communication security and privacy over the internet for applications such as email, web applications, instant&nbsp;</div> <div>messaging (IM) and some virtual private networks (VPNs). This paper focuses on the this new bug in OpenSSL , risk involved with it, along with&nbsp;</div> <div>the mitigation.</div>
