SCREENING OF CERVICAL LESIONS IN VINDHYA REGION : A 3 MONTH RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Abstract :
Aim: To estimate the prevalence of cervical lesion in Vindhya Region by the help of pap smear test. Material and Method: Cervical/Vaginal exfoliativesmears were stained by Pap stain and Giemsa Stain and microscopy were done. Smears were categorized according to The Bethesda System 2001. Result: Total 200 smears were examined with 97.5% satisfactory smear , having maximum cases of 25-35yrs age group. Of the total cases studied, NILM far exceeds the ECA. Total 03 cases of Squamous cell Carcinoma detected during our threemonth retrospective study. < clear="all" style="page-eak-before:always;mso-eak-type:section-eak" />
