Abstract :

Dental diseases are a significant public health menace having a substantial impact on the quality of life which in turn affects the daily performance and general life satisfaction. The adult manifestation of most of the dental diseases can be traced back to childhood and adolescence. It is essential to catch such habits and modify such behavior which can have long term effects on the child�s dental as well as overall health. Such is initiative Of School Oral Health Programs. This article examines the need for oral health education in schools as well as new initiatives taken by government of India
