Role of MRI in evaluation of hypoxic ischemic brain injury in preterm and fullterm infants

Abstract :
Hypoxic ischemic ain injury remains the common cause of infant morbidity. The long term sequele includes developmental delay, heå and visual loss, seizures and cereal palsy. MR imaging techniques remain the mainstay of infant neuroimaging now days. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of MRI in evaluation of hypoxic ischemic ain injury in preterm and fullterm infants and thus aid in early diagnosis and outcome prediction in young infants
