Abstract :
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a non–debt financial resource and one of the vital growth drivers to faster economic development of India. The sectors that offer high growth prospects in India through FDI include residential and commercial complexes, townships, Information technology parks (IT parks), hotels & resorts, hospitals, tourism–related developments, educational institutions, special economic zones (SEZs) etc. For an emerging economy like India, its attractiveness as a preferred FDI destination would have long lasting consequences on its future growth.
