Human Rights and Dalit Women

Abstract :

 The question of Human Rights of Dalit women posess a challenge to the Human Righs commission. violence, which serves as a crucial social mechanism to maintain Dalit women‘s subordinate position in society, is the core outcome of gender-based inequalities shaped and intensified by the caste system. This situation exists in India today despite constitutional guarantees of non-discrimination on the basic of caste and gender (Article 15(1)), The right to life and security of life (Article21) and the constitutional directive to specifically protect Dalits from social injustice and all forms of exploitation (Article 46).This theoretical paper tries to putforth the various kinds of violencesand human rights violation faced by Indial dalit women.
