Evaluation of serum electrolytes in preeclamptic pregnant women: A Hospital Based Study
Dr Prafula Kumar Mishra
Abstract :
Preeclampsia is the most common medical complication of pregnancy. It is also known as pregnancy-induced hypertension or toxemia and is one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal mortality throughout the world. My aim was to evaluation of serum electrolytes (Na+ & K+) in between cases and controls. The serum Sodium and potassium levels were within reference range for both the groups. There was not much difference between mean values of both the groups. The difference was statistically not-significant.
