A STUDY OF ATTITUDE OF POST – GRADUATION STUDENTS TOWARDS VALUE ORIENTED EDUCATION WITH FATHER OCCUPATION AND FATHER EDUCATION

Abstract :

 Life is, day by day, becoming complex and complicated. Crisis in character and loss of values are reflected now in every sphere of human life. Standards of moral and social life of our people are gradually declining. The norm of family, society, politics, professional ethics, secularism and democracy etc. is going down and coming under stream. The main objective of the present study is to study the influence of father occupation and father education on the attitude of post – graduation students towards value oriented education. Value oriented education questionnaire developed by Suneetha, P (2008) was adopted for the present study. A sample of 320 Post – graduation students representing all categories of post – graduation colleges in Y.S.R. Kadapa District by following the standardized procedures. ‘t’ and ‘F’ – tests were employed for analysis of the data. There is significant influence of father occupation and father education at 0.01 level of significance on the attitude of post – graduation students towards value oriented education.
